LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule has announced on its website that the studio is looking to take on small development teams to produce content for Dreams. The PlayStation 4-exclusive DIY title is currently in Early Access, and people have already been pumping out some impressive creations, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Crash Bandicoot, and Metal Gear Solid.
Dreams Dev Hiring For Small Dev Teams
The contract-based position is not just regular outsourcing, according to Media Molecule, and is light on experience requirements. However, those interested must obviously have cut their teeth in creating content for Dreams.
Some of the exciting opportunities we have require the skills of a small professional development team. Are you a small dev team looking to collaborate on something larger or looking for a small project to help fund your next gig? This isn’t just normal outsourcing, it is much more about finding teams that want to collaborate with us on content for Dreams. We are a little light on requirements as this is an exploratory call out, but needless to say experience with creating in Dreams is required!
Media Molecule will be opening up applications for the position soon.
Dreams is the British-based studio’s first project since Tearaway for the PlayStation Vita, and gives users a wealth of creative tools to craft, well, just about anything they want. Its philosophy of ‘play, create, and share’ follows on from Media Molecule’s other user-created franchise, LittleBigPlanet.
The game launched in Early Access back in April, and by mid-June had amassed 100,000 players. You can read our verdict on the Early Access period here.
Not played Dreams yet? Here’s the lowdown:
Dreams is an extraordinary open-ended experience where you can make anything, from interactive adventures and platformers, to shoot ‘em ups, puzzlers and more. The possibilities are endless.
