2K and Hangar 13 have prematurely revealed the Mafia: The Old Country release date in a blog post about the games panel at PAX East, confirming an August 8, 2025 launch for the upcoming action-adventure title.
The English version of the blog post doesn’t feature a date, but other language versions feature the text, “Mafia: The Old Country will be available on August 8, 2025. Preorders are available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.” Presumably the release date was set to be announced formally during this panel, or at least around that time.

Mafia: The Old Country takes place in the 1900s in a fictional town known as San Celeste, based in Sicily. The story follows Enzo Favara, and chronicles his rise from working in the sulfur mines to joining up with the Torrisi crime syndicate. The game adopts a linear narrative set against the backdrop of cinematic environments, bringing it closer in execution to the first two games as opposed to Mafia III, which was more open-world.
