Just ahead of HBO’s The Last Of Us premiering its second season this coming April 2025, a brand new DualSense controller themed after the franchise has been revealed.
The new controller features significant symbols from the franchise across the front, while the back is mostly blank save for ‘The Last Of Us’ in bold white lettering in the middle.
It’s mostly a black shell, with white accents being the back buttons and triggers, along with the bottom half of the front of the controller, so the thumb-sticks and the PlayStation button in the middle.

Players will be able to pre-order the controller starting March 14, 2025 at 10am their local time through the PlayStation Direct store and participating retailers, and it’ll set you back $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99.
It’ll officially launch just three days ahead of the season 2 premiere for HBO’s The Last Of Us on April 10, 2025. Which means that players who are able to grab a controller for themselves can have three days to play through both The Last Of Us Part I and The Last Of Us Part II with this new controller as a refresher before the new season.
If you were really ambitious, you could also try to run through the first season of the TV show, to really cap off what is definitely an emotionally traumatizing binge.
“We were really excited by the chance to memorialize The Last Of Us franchise in a controller that fans and our own team would love,” said Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann and graphic designer Megan Mehran in a PlayStation Blog post.
“We wanted to ensure that both installments of The Last Of Us are represented, via trophy icons printed in black gloss across the controller body. Among the trophies, three particular images will immediately stand out for TLOU fans: the firefly, moth and wolf.
Players will recognize the Fireflies’ iconic spray-painted logo that originated in Part I, while the moth and wolf represent the intertwining lives and duality between Ellie and Abby in Part II.”
