Fresh details on Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name have been released by SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, including key characters Kosei Shishido & Yuki Tsuruno.
Obviously the main star of the show is ‘The Man Who Erased His Name’ himself, former Yakuza Kazuma Kiryu. He’s made a pact with the Daidoji Faction to discard his past, and he now spends his time carrying out missions for the faction, cut off from the children he once cared for at Morning Glory Orphanage.
Kosei Shishido meanwhile is a member of the Watase Family and is described as its ‘ace-in-the-hole.’ He’s a capable lieutenant who wields ‘deadly weapons’ in combat with no regard to his victims. He’s joined by Yuki Tsuruno, a yakuza sworn to the Watase Family and is their second highest-ranking member. Tsuruno-san is a ‘meticulous’ planner and has already planned a series of traps to ensnare Kiryu.
Also featured in Like A Dragon Gaiden is Akame, a jack-of-all-trades based in Sotenbori, Osaka, and is well acquainted with the underbelly of the city thanks to her network. Elsewhere, Homare Nishitani III is the third patriarch of the Kijin Clan, and quickly rose through the ranks before taking over the clan. His handsome features belie a madness lurking beneath the surface, and he’s got no qualms in putting his life on the line during a fight to the death.
