Larian’s Next Game Could Be Smaller Than Baldur’s Gate III

Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke has indicated that the company’s next game will be smaller than Baldur’s Gate III, which recently launched to major success on PC.

Speaking with Bloomberg, Vincke said that while he doesn’t know what’s next for Larian, he’s interested in working on something smaller, and mentioned multiple projects as a possibility.

“He certainly doesn’t want to spend another six years developing a single game,” according to the article.

Baldur’s Gate III is slated for release on PS5 in early September, and Larian Studios as revealed that Cross-Play may be possible post-launch. For now, Cross-Save is supported for PC and PS5 versions of the game.

Those of you looking to dive into the world of Baldur’s Gate III had better clear their social calendar, as the game is around 75-100 hours long on a regular play through alone. If you want to see everything, then you’re looking in the region of 200 hours.
