Is Hellblade 2 PS4 Happening in 2021? If you happened to be tuned into The Game Awards 2019, you will have seen in the non-PS4 portion of the show that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was announced for Microsoft’s new Xbox Series X next-generation console, which is releasing later in 2020. However, the question has started to be asked – will Hellblade 2 PS4 happen?

Back in 2017, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice released on PS4 to much acclaim. Published by Ninja Theory, the developer of previous PlayStation titles such as Heavenly Sword, Enslaved and DmC, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice did the business both commercially and critically, making PS4 gamers pine for a sequel. So will a Hellblade 2 PS4 release happen?

Hellblade 2 PS4 – Thanks to Microsoft moneyhatting Ninja Theory, a Hellblade 2 PS4 release doesn’t look to be in the cards.

Sadly not, is the answer. Since the first Hellblade released, developer Ninja Theory was bought out by Microsoft, effectively guaranteeing that Hellblade 2 will be an Xbox Series X exclusive. Sorry folks – Hellblade 2 PS4 doesn’t look like it’s going to happen – and even if it was a possibility, Hellblade 2 PS5 would be much more likely on account of how complex and sophisticated the visuals are.

What Is Hellblade 2?

As mentioned previously, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the sequel to 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrafice, a third-person action adventure with a distinct and uniquely executed psychological horror bent that meditated deeply on mental trauma, casting players a Senua, an English tribal native who must survive the first Viking invasion.

As to whether or not Hellblade 2 embraces those same themes at this point is unclear. What is clear though, is that the title looks like a true next-generation title with some absolutely impeccable visuals.
