Ascendant Studios will release Immortals of Aveum update 1.0.6.4 soon, which will include the previously-confirmed AMD FSR 3 frame generation for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.
Frame generation technology allows for increased frame rates, and while there’s no release date confirmed yet, the press blurb reads, “Patch 1.0.6.4 will also extend FSR 3 support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) monitors and TVs on both PC and consoles, which will improve frame pacing and reduce occurrences of judder or screen tears.”
As reported by Digital Foundry, it is likely that Ascendant Studios will build on the existing 60 FPS target for Immortals of Aveum and increasing the frame rate for 120Hz display support. Furthermore, it adds that VRR for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will probably offer a “smoother, more consistent experience.”

Immortals of Aveum was released in August 2023 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and while it wasn’t a big commercial success, its director is confident that the game will continue to grow for ‘years and years.’
