According to a rating on the Australian Classification Board, PC dogfighter IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle for Stalingrad looks set to come to PlayStation and Xbox formats.
The ratings body lists the World War II-based title as a ‘multi-platform’ effort, suggesting that it may not be exclusive to PC like much of the franchise has in the past.
While 1C Game Studios has yet to announce the game for Sony and Microsoft’s home consoles, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see the game come out for PS4 and Xbox One, as previous Sturmovik entries Birds of Prey and Birds of Steel came to PS3 and Xbox 360.
Xbox One currently lacks a WWII dogfighter, though PS4 gamers have this particular avenue covered with Gaijin Entertainment’s War Thunder.
Of course, the term multiplatform doesn’t necessarily mean Battle for Stalingrad will end up coming to current-gen machines, as it may end up hitting PS3 and Xbox 360 instead.
Stay tuned to PSU for more details as we get them.
