With Gran Turismo 5 Prologue slated to be a downloadable title just like Warhawk, a lot of people were curious as to how big of a file this would be, particularly those who purchased the smaller 20GB HDD and have yet to upgrade (Especially if they bought the likes of Warhawk, Devil May Cry 4, and now were planning on getting their hands on Prologue via download) Well, rest easy because the game is only 1870 MBs.
We’re aware it sounds a tad small for a game featuring so much, but there is a lot of reasoning behind this. Apparently most of the cinematics are left on the server until you’re ready to view them via GT TV. This obviously will save an ample amount of disk space as it will give you the option to download it or not when you reach that point.
According to eurogamer.com, once you finish an event fully, it will give you the option to head over to GT TV section to download the optional cinematic that goes along with it.
Sony did confirm that the cinematics would come included with the Blu-ray format of the racing simulator, so no need to worry about downloads if you took the time to walk to the store to pick it up.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue hits the European PlayStation Network next Thursday on March 27. So its only a little over a week away before you can finally get behind the wheel of a new Gran Turismo game and, unlike the past circumstances, you Europeans will get first dibs.
