Hideo Kojima announced Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards 2022 last week, but he’s also working on a separate project – one that he hopes to unveil in 2023.
While nothing is really known about the game yet – although it is rumored Kojima-san is working on a horror title known as Overdose – the Metal Gear creator had the following to say in a video post by Kojima Productions:
In addition to DS2, we are also preparing a completely new game as well as some visual projects. I am hoping to bring you more information on all of those next year. Now more than ever, we will expand our scope of creativity in this new environment.
Death Stranding 2 is currently in the early stages of development and was previously outed by Norman Reedus, who appeared in the original game. According to a brief mention in the game’s trailer, Death Stranding 2 is looking to really amp up the visuals by employing the use of Epic’s MetaHuman tech.
