Sony has revealed during its FY23 earnings call that Arrowhead Game Studios‘ Helldivers 2 has sold over 12 million copies worldwide since its launch in February 2024.
Helldivers 2 has been one of the biggest success stories of the year so far, having been named by Circana as the as the best-selling premium game of the year as of early May. That’s not to say it hasn’t had its problems, though. Helldivers 2 launched with a number of bugs and has been patched frequently by Arrowhead Game Studios, and there was a lot of controversy stirred when Sony announced that Steam users would have to create a PSN account to play the game.
