The Gran Turismo Sport beta invites have began rolling out in the US for those who were lucky enough to get an invitation.
Closed beta sign-ups took place a couple of weeks ago, and now players are receiving mails to test out the upcoming PS4 racing game.
Polyphony Digital plans to introduce players slowly to the GT servers in order to stress test them and optimize, but you can still sign up for the Gran Turismo Sport beta.
Polyphony writes: “The initial phase of the closed BETA, starting on 17th of March, will only be open to selected US PSN IDs.
As with most BETA programs, in order for the development team to capture data in an optimal manner, the sample size needs to be increased gradually and in stages. While we begin to roll out the BETA, we have decided that the time differences across the U.S. are best matched to the development team in Tokyo."
Get a detailed breakdown, find out 5 things you need to know about the Gran Turismo Sport beta, and check out the latest trailer.
During the initial phase, our servers will be open for users during specific times across the day. We will share these times closer to the BETA launch across our social channels and GT.com.”
Each day during the beta, cars and tracks will be rotated and players will be able to complete against each other in online multiplayer. Our first impressions of GT Sport were very favorable, so racing fans should be in for a treat.
If you’ve been lucky enough to receive an invite, you should see a new notification on your PSN dashboard.
The Gran Turismo Sport servers will only be only during specific hours, so stay tuned for update.
