The new God of War installment offers a new world every God of War fan and player will enjoy, and you’ll need to head to the Muspelheim to find the Crest of Flame. Muspelheim is one of the nine worlds in Norse Mythology, which is the new setting of God of War. The eighth game in the God War series has veered away from the Greek Mythology which was the setting of all previous God of War stories. There are a lot of new things to encounter in Kratos' journey, like the Crest of Flame and Greater Crest of Flame.
God of War Crest of Flame Location
The Crest of Flame is found in Muspelheim. And just like the Smoldering Embers, it plays a great contribution in strengthening and upgrading Kratos. In the words of Kratos: “On our journey, we will be attacked by all manner of creature. To be effective in combat, a warrior must not feel for his enemy. Close your heart to their desperation, close your heart to their suffering. The road ahead is long and unforgiving, no place for a boy. You must be a warrior.”
Kratos needs Crest of Flame to grow and nurture the rage he kept for years which he will use in defeating his enemies. Kratos' character here has become stronger and aggressive to protect his son, Atreus.
The Crest of Flame is a crafting material resource which you will use to upgrade armor or get new gear for Kratos. In this new God of War game, Kratos uses a magical battle axe instead of his signature double-chained blades. The axe is called the Leviathan Axe, which can also function just like Thor's hammer.
You have low chances of gaining Crest of Flame in Muspelheim’s challenges. The more reliable source of it is from Surtr’s Hidden Trial. You’ll get more Crest of Flame for getting a silver or gold rating in Surtr’s Hidden Trial. It can also drop randomly from the chests you earn from beating Normal, Hard, and Impossible Trials.
