God of War Collector’s Edition leaked for PS4

Sony is planning a God of War Collector’s Edition for the PlayStation 4-exclusive action title, according to a listing on Germany retailer, Spielegrotte.

The Collector’s Edition currently has a price point of €199.99, although the site notes that the price is subject to change. In addition, the God of War release date of January 15, 2018 that accompanies the listing is most likely a placeholder, so don’t get too excited about potentially seeing Kratos breaking bones early next year.

See below for a full list of contents for the God of War Collector’s Edition.

God of War was announced during Sony’s E3 2016 press conference, where the title was demoed alongside a full orchestra. This latest entry in the popular action-adventure series will see Kratos returning once more, only this time he’s mixing it up with creatures from Norse mythology. Developer Sony Santa Monica Studio has said it’s aiming to push the envelope in terms of story this time around, and promised that the series’ penchant for spraying buckets of claret everywhere will very much be part and parcel of Kratos’ next outing.

Right now it’s still unknown if God of War will feature a multiplayer component. Sony initially said that the title would be focusing on the single-player and wouldn’t feature online functionality, though a job listing later appeared to contradict this. Regardless, one thing that we do know is that the campaign will be pretty meaty in terms of length, and from the live demo at E3 it appears the game’s environments will feature hub-like areas similar to Tomb Raider.

Hopefully we’ll hear more about the rumored God of War Collector’s Edition at E3 next month.
