Sucker Punch Productions‘ Ghost of Tsushima has sold over 6.5 million units worldwide since its debut in July 2020, Deadline has revealed. The news comes following confirmation that the samurai title is being adapted into movie by John Wick director Chad Stahelski.
The last time we got a sales update on Ghost of Tsushima was back in November 2020, when the game had sold five million copies.
Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t just a critical and commercial success, it also boasts one of the highest completion rates for any open-world game on PlayStation. Furthermore, the game’s developer revealed that it took about six years to perfect Ghost of Tsushima’s combat system.

From the look of things Sucker Punch Productions is working on a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, which isn’t surprise considering the game’s success. Earlier this year, Sucker Punch’s Nate Fox and Jason Connell were made ambassadors for the real-life Tsushima Island.
