Nilou is a brand new 5-Star Sword wielder character coming to Gensin Impact in update 3.1 This Nilou Best Build Guide explains how to get Nilou’s Ascension Materials and what her best weapons are.
As with new characters, you’ll need the correct ascension materials, Talent books and Artifacts to get the best use out of Nilou. Thankfully with the first part of Sumeru now unlocked for players to explore, you can collect almost all of Nilou’s materials to prepare for her arrival in Genshin Impact.
Nilou’s Ascension Materials Level 1-90
Nilou’s Ascension Materials mostly come from Sumeru, but the material is brand new and will be introduced in the 3.1 update. The Varunada Lazurite materials can be acquired from the Hydro Hypostasis and the Rhodea of Loch boss fights. You can also acquire them from the Childe Boss fight once a week. Padisarahs fowers are found throughout Sumeru along with the Fungle Spores, Luminescent Pollen, and Crystalline Cyst Dust. Perpetual Caliber can only be obtained after the 3.1 update and drops from a new boss called Aeonblight Drake.

Nilou does the most damage from her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage. Like other characters hailing from Sumeru, she scales based on her HP, so it’s important to keep that in mind when levelling her up her artefacts.
Nilou’s Best Weapon
Nilou is a character who benefits from weapons that provide Elemental Damage or HP bonuses. As with all new 5-star characters, Nilou gets her own signature weapon which is always going to be the best fit for her. The Key of Khaj-Nisut is her best 5-star weapon. The Primodial Jade Cutter is another great option for 5-star. Her 4-star weapons are also a great addition with the Iron Sting and Sacrificial Sword

HP increased by 20/25/20/25/20%. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20s. This effect increases the equipping character’s Elemental Mastery by 0.12/0.15/0.18/0.21/0.24% of their Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. Max 3 stacks. When this effect gains 3 stacks, or when the third stack’s duration is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will be increased by 0.2% of the equipping character’s max HP for 20s.
Primordial Jade Cutter
HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder’s Max HP
Nilou 4-Star Weapons
Iron Sting
Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 6%/7.5%/9%/10.5%/12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can occur once every 1s.
Sacrificial Sword
After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s
Nilou Best Artifact Stat Priority
Nilou benefits from numerous artefact sets. Because her primarily damage comes from her Skill and Burst the 4-piece Noblous Oblige or the 4-Piece Heart of Depth are great choices you can also go for 2-piece Tenacity of the Millelith and 2-piece Noblous Oblige
