Genshin Impact: Nahida Build Guide

Dendro, the seventh element and vision, is finally coming to Genshin Impact. Nahida is the Dendro Archon and is a great support and sub-DPS catalyst user. This Nahida Best Build Guide explains how to get Nahida’s Ascension Materials and what her best weapons are.

As with new characters, you’ll need the correct ascension materials, Talent books and Artifacts to get the best use out of Nahida. With Semeru now fully unlocked, players can farm most of her materials but will have to wait for the Dendro Hypostasis to get her final ascension materials.

Nahida’s Ascension Materials Level 1-90

  • Nagadus Emerald Sliver x 1 (Boss Jadeplume Terrorshrooms aka Giant Dendro Bird and Dendro Hypostasis)
  • Nagadus Emerald Fragment x 9 (Boss Jadeplume Terrorshroom aka Giant Dendro Bird and Dendro Hypostasis)
  • Nagadus Emerald Chunk x 9 (Boss Jadaplume Terrorshroom aka Giant Dendro Bird and Dendro Hypostasis)

Nahida is looking to be a Dendro sub-DPS or support catalyst user. As with most catalyst users in Genshin Impact, most of her damage will come from her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst and reactions with other elements. You’ll want to build Nahida with some Elemental Master in mind.

Nahida’s Best Weapon

As with all new 5-Star characters, a new weapon is released that best suits that character. In this case, the 5-star “A Thousand Floating Dreams.” is Nahida’s signature weapon and is best for her. Another good 5-Star weapon is the “Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds”. Regarding 4-Star weapons, Mahida has plenty of options: “Widsith, Mappa Mare, Wandering Evenstar and Fruit of Fulfilment.

Nahida’s 5-Star Weapons

A Thousand Floating Dreams

Party members other than the equipping character will provide the equipping character with buffs based on whether their Elemental Type is the same as the latter or not. If their Elemental Types are the same, increase Elemental Mastery by 32. If not, increase the equipping character’s DMG Bonus from their Elemental Type by 10%. The aforementioned effects can have 3 stacks. Additionally, all nearby party members other than the equipping character will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 40. Multiple such effects from multiple such weapons can stack.

Lost Prayer To the Sacred Winds

Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

Nahida 4-Star Weapons

The Widsith

When a character takes the field, they will gain a random theme song for 10s. This can only occur once every 30s.
Recitative: ATK is increased by 60%.
Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48%.
Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240.

Mappa Mare

Triggering an Elemental reaction grants an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10s. Max 2 stacks.

Wandering Evenstar

The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 24% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration. Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.

Fruit of Fulfilment

Obtain the “Wax and Wane” effect after an Elemental Reaction is triggered, gaining 24 Elemental Mastery while losing 5% ATK. For every 0.3s, 1 stack of Wax and Wane can be gained. Max 5 stacks. For every 6s that go by without an Elemental Reaction being triggered, 1 stack will be lost. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.

Nahida Best Artifact Stat Priority

For secondary stats, you always want to prioritize in order Crit Rate/Damage, Elemental Mastery and ATK%. Her best artefact set is Guilded Dreams for a support class and Deepwood Memories for sub-DPS.

  • Flower (Always HP)
  • Feather: (Always ATK)
  • Time Piece: Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet: Dendro Damage% or Elemental Mastery
  • Circuit: Crit Rate/Damage, Elemental Mastery, ATK%

Nahida’s Talent books come from the Steeple of Ignorance Doman. Players can obtain the Ingenuity Stone Tablets Talent-level materials on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. :
