Square Enix has announced that former mobile-exclusive RPG, Final Fantasy Agito, will be coming to the PlayStation Vita in Japan.
The revamped title will hit Sony’s portable games console on January 15, and will be known as Final Fantasy Agito+.
It’ll be a free download and feature microtransactions, Square Enix confirmed. Unsurprisingly, a western release date has yet to be announced.
Final Fantasy Agito shares a lot in common with Final Fantasy Type-0, which is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early next year in high-definition. The game originally carried the title Final Fantasy Agito XIII, and was conceived as a mobile title.
Eventually, Type-0 was released for the PlayStation Portable as a Japan-exclusive for that platform, while Agito turned up on mobiles, dropping the XIII subtitle. Both games share the same world, however.
