Bethesda hasn’t announced a Fallout 3 Remastered release yet, but chatter about the project has been going on for a while now. Both Fallout 3 Remastered and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered were leaked in documents pertaining to Microsoft and the FTC’s legal tussle, and Oblivion’s existence has been confirmed after images leaked only yesterday. As such, it’s not hard to see why people are holding out hope that Fallout 3 will also be spruced up for modern platforms.

Fallout 3 was originally released for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 back in October 2008. The game takes place in the ruins of Washington, D.C., as well as the surrounding countryside in an area known as the Capital Wasteland. Set in 2277, the player steps in the role of a resident of Vault 101, and later venture out into the wasteland in search of their father after the mysteriously disappears. Fallout 3 was supported by five DLC packs and receive a Game of the Year Edition.
