Yesterday, EA and the mix of studios now titled Battlefield Studios gave us our first look at the next Battlefield game, and provided players with the chance to register for the opportunity to help playtest the coming entry in the FPS series.
Today, along with the company’s third quarter earnings report, EA confirmed a release window for when everyone will be able to jump into the next Battlefield game.
EA’s current plan is to release the game sometime before April 2026, or as EA put it in the report, the next Battlefield game is “expected fiscal year 2026 release.”
The company’s current fiscal year will end on March 31, 2025, with its fiscal year 2026 beginning the following day. A 12 month release window isn’t a lot to go off, but seeing as how Battlefield 2042 released in November when it launched in 2021, and the fact that late fall/early winter is historically the time of year when the biggest publishers release their biggest games, it wouldn’t be a bad bet to expect the next Battlefield game before the end of 2025.
That’s of course if there’s no delays, and the chances of big games like Battlefield arriving without any major delays feels slim to none in today’s games industry.
