Dragon Quest 10 has remained a Japanese-exclusive release for some time now, but there’s hope yet that the game may receive a global launch, if comments made by Square Enix‘s Takashi Kiryu are anything to go by.
Speaking on a recently-published Q&A page following an investor briefing in November 2023, Kiryu-san revealed that the Japanese publisher has ‘a variety of initiatives’ for the title, although what that could mean is anyone’s guess right now.
As with Final Fantasy 14, we are readying a variety of initiatives for Dragon Quest 10 Online that we look forward to announcing.

Beyond that, Square Enix recently uploaded a trailers in China and Korea for Dragon Quest 10 Offline, suggesting a global release may be announced soon, with PC and PlayStation listed as supported platforms.
For those out of the loop, Dragon Quest X: Awakening of the Five Walkers Online, or simply Dragon Quest X Online, takes the form of an MMORPG and launched for the Wii in 2012, and was later ported to Wii U, PC, PS4, Switch and mobile devices, although was never localised for outside of Japan. An offline version of the game was later released in September 2022.
