Now that Marvel’s Avengers is out in people’s hands, many have been wondering if the Avengers game has split-screen local co-op multiplayer allowing you to play with a friend or family member on your couch?
Does The Avengers Game Have Split-Screen Local Co-Op Multiplayer?
Unfortunately, the Avengers game does not have split-screen multiplayer and the only way to play with friends or family members is through online co-op. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we will not see split-screen multiplayer in the future; but with how intense Marvel’s Avengers is and the amount of power needed to run the game, it doesn’t seem like something Crystal Dynamics will be able to implement in the future.
This news was confirmed all the way back in the Fall of 2019. And with Crystal Dynamics focusing on new heroes and content for the live-service, split-screen local co-op seems like a feature that would be very low on their list of priorities.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PS4. The game will release for PS5 later this year.
