Dambuster Studios has revealed that Dead Island 2 will receive New Game Plus and a Horde Mode via Update 6 on October 22, 2024.
As revealed on the game’s official website, the New Game Plus mode will shift things up a gear with a new skill slot and increased level cap, while players will also be treated to new skins, weapons, and an increased difficulty and fresh enemies to battle.
Also new to the table is the Neighborhood Watch mode, which takes the form of a cooperative order mode where you must defend a frat house from the swarms of undead.

Team up with your crew to tackle missions, set traps and stockpile a lethal arsenal. And then…brace yourselves for the fifth and final day, when the zombie onslaught hits hard. If your defenses and teamwork are up to scratch, you might just survive to tell the tale. Plus, you’ll constantly unlock new abilities to make every run more savage and electrifying than the last.
