Dauntless Behemoth Guide – Lesser Boreus

Dauntless Behemoth Guide – Lesser Boreus. The Lesser Boreus will not only be the biggest behemoth you have faced so far, but it will also be your first frost enemy and it will be your first behemoth with a unique phase you must overcome. Boreus covers his body in an ice shield and you will need to be aware of how to overcome this stage, how to deal some serious damage to your foe and eventually, take him down.

Boreus is big, strong and has quite a high defence due to his ice shield ability. With the help of this guide, you will be taking him down swiftly and making some good gear from his severed parts.

Dauntless Behemoth Guide – Lesser Boreus – Moveset and Tactics

Lesser Boreus is a big beast, along with his big powerful moves you will also have to overcome his ice shield phase. Luckily, I will explain below how to get past it below. Boreus is not very fast but does pack a bit of a punch if you are not careful. Obviously, ice armour and fire weapons are preferable in this fight. Maximising your damage dealt and minimizing your damage taken. Lesser Boreus is not very difficult once you work out his moves and how to get through his shield.

Ice Shield: This is the unique phase I was talking about before. You cannot damage Lesser Boreus when he has covered himself in ice. You have to kill the smaller minions that spawn during this phase. Each one killed will give you one attack buff that will penetrate Boreus’ shield. You can stack them so just kill as many minions as you can and attack Boreus. Eventually, you will break his ice shield and the fight will continue as normal.

Horn Swipe: This move is well telegraphed, Borues will slightly raise his leg and swipe to the opposite side. If you are positioned at the front then evade backwards and follow back in for a few free hits. His tail can also damage you so watch out. Evade through it and then follow up with some attacks.

Charge: Boreus will charge in a straight line towards you. Either evade left or right then follow him for some free attacks. If you are playing multiplayer and he charges someone else, chase him down and attack at will.

Stomp: You can tell this move is coming as Boreus will raise his foot quite high. Either reposition to the other side or evade through the stomp. You are then free to unload some attacks and get some damage in.

Roar: Boreus will do two small roars and be completely defenceless. This is a move you will want to maximise your damage on, unleash your specials and long combos to take as much HP as you can. You are completely safe to do so, attack to your hearts content.
