Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Has ‘More Options’ Than The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED has shed a few more details on the Cyberpunk 2077 romance options available to players, confirming they will be more extensive than those found in its previous title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The much-anticipated sci-fi title was showcased extensively at E3 2019 earlier this month, where it was revealed that Keanu Reeves will be starring in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Options Detailed

Cyberpunk 2077’s lead quest designer, Pawel Sasko, told Reddit user magired1234 that the game will have “way more options” than The Witcher 3, as your character is not restricted to heterosexual relationships. “Here you can define what type of interactions your character prefers and have a relationship with that NPC/NPCs,” Sasko.

“So in terms of romances – you can think that it’s going to be similar to how Witcher 3 was – there were whole plotlines regarding character and if that NPCs were treated well and interested in Geralt, something was happening.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020. As mentioned, Keanu Reeves will play a crucial role as Johnny Silverhand, fronting his own in-game rock band and taking up more dialogue than any other character in the game bar the main character. Just don’t expect him to belt out a tune or two.

Amusingly, Reeves’ infamous ‘you’re breathtaking’ quote from his appearance at Microsoft’s presser has got fans petitioning to include it in Cyberpunk 2077 as an unlockable Trophy.

While Cyberpunk 2077 is going to include a deep romance system, CD Projekt RED confirmed the game will not feature a morality system. There’s an Uber-like service included, though, which will help players get about the sprawling open-world, and multiplayer could be a possibility as a post-release update.

Finally, CD Projekt RED has hinted that Cyberpunk 2077 may eventually come to the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett, but for now it’s only been confirmed for current-gen machines.
