Speaking during an interview with MP1st, David Fitfield, Crytek‘s general manager, issued a brief update on the highly anticipated Crytek 4, which has been heard from since its initial announcement.
When asked what was happening with the new Crysis game, Fitfield had the following to share:
Crysis 4 is currently still in development and we have a great team working on it! We will update once we have more details on it down the line.
Crysis 4 (not it’s official title, but we’re calling it that for now) was announced back in January 2022, at which point the team revealed that the project was in the early stages of development. Crytek issued the following statement at the time:
Right now the game is in the early stages of development so it will be a while yet, but we wanted to bring you the news at this time as we are so hyped for the future, and to let you know that we will be listening to our community.
Since then, we’ve heard next to nothing about the new Crysis game, although hopefully that will change soon enough. n the meantime, be sure to read our review of the Crysis Remastered Trilogy for PS4, which is an essential purchase for any fans of the first-person shooter genre.
