Corsair Reveals SCUF PS5 Controller Is In The Pipeline, Release Date Yet To Be Confirmed

Corsair has announced that SCUF is manufacturing a PS5 controller, and the good news is they’re hoping to bring it to market ahead of its competitors’ efforts. SCUF has already released a pad based on the PS4 DualShock 4, which is compatible with PS5 when playing PS4 games.

Naturally, the SCUF PS4 controller won’t work when playing PS5 games on the new console, so this is where a dedicated PS5 controller from the company comes in.

As it stands, the only pad that is compatible with PS5 games is of course the DualSense controller; even Sony’s official PS4 pad won’t work with next-generation software.

Speaking during Corsair’s latest financial call, CEO Andy Paul wouldn’t give a window on when to expect the SCUF PS5 controller, but confirmed they’re working to have it released as soon as possible — and hopefully ahead of its competitors, too.

We’re obviously working as fast as we can to get out of [the] PS5 controller. We haven’t released when that will be, but I suspect we’ll be pretty early in the market compared to any of our competitors.

A release date for the SCUF PS5 controller has to be announced.
