According to Orbis Patches, PSP’s Patapon 3 is set to launch on the PlayStation Plus Premium game catalog as part of its Classics lineup for PS5 & PS4.
The site, which tracks game updates for PS4 games, found a listing for Patapon 3 PSN entry on Sony’s backend, suggesting a PS Plus Premium release is imminent. It should be noted that Patapon and Patapon 2 were remastered for the PS4 and are now part of PS Plus Premium, but the third entry has yet to see the light of day.

While nothing official has been confirmed yet, the timing is pretty auspicious, as Sony is not only hosting a State of Play event tomorrow evening, but is also expected to reveal February’s PS Plus Extra & PS Plus Premium lineup this week. As such, Patapon 3 could easily be announced in the next few days for a re-release on the Classics catalog.
Patapon 3 was developed by Pyramid and SCI Japan Studio and released in in 2011 for the PSP. Like its predecessors, the sequel, which is the final entry in the franchise to date, is a rhythm-based as adventure game that utilise 2D environments designed by French artist Rolito.
