Call of Duty: Vanguard is kicking off its Alpha for PS5 and PS4 at the end of the month, offering players the chance to go hands-on with the shooter’s Champion Hill Mode.
The PlayStation-exclusive Alpha will be available from August 27 – 29, and what’s more, you won’t need to have a subscription to PlayStation Plus to take part in the teaser. Preloading for the Call of Duty Vanguard on PS5 and PS4 will go live today.
As for Champion Hill, the mode offers two vs two, three vs three, and four vs four variations, and you’ll battle it out to be the last one standing across rounds. Players can take part on four different maps — Airstrip, Courtyard, Trainyardz, and Market – and you’ll also hoover up cash to purchase upgrades along the way.

You can expect — and are encouraged — to explore reactive environments across the four maps within Champion Hill, breaking destructible barriers, doors, and other obstructions to create new sight lines or catch a would-be camper by surprise.
