Activision seems content with drip-feeding us info on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III rather than going all-out for the time being, with the publishing behemoth revealing another brief trailer. This latest effort gives us a look at the game’s Big Bad, Vladimir Makarov.

He was an unseen figure in the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but appeared in the sequel as a secondary antagonist and later turned up in 2011’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as the main villain.
Those of you who have played the rebooted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II from 2022 will remember that the game’s post-credits scene saw Makarov send a terrorist cell to hijack a Russian airliner, ordering ‘No Russian’ by text message prior to the attack.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is scheduled for release on November 10, 2023.
