Activision call of duty Call of Duty 2025 Call of Duty Black Ops 7 News PS4 PS5

Call Of Duty 2025 Reportedly Set In 2035, Features Open World Map & 4-Player Co-Op For Story Mode

New alleged details on Call of Duty 2025, which is supposedly going to be a full sequel to Call of Duty Black Ops II, have emerged from a report from Bigbyy on Reddit, who claims to have taken part in a Call of Duty study group.

The following details were summarised by Insider Gaming, and may not be included in the final game as the purpose of the study group is to garner feedback and interest, which doesn’t guarantee everything will make the retail version.

According to the playtester, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 (or whatever it ends up being called) will take place in 2035 and is a follow-up to Black Ops II, focussing on Woods and Mason. Four player co-op will be supported for the story mode, which will allegedly feature a large open world map titled Avalon.

Elsewhere, it’s reported that omni movement will be returning for Call of Duty 2025, while Zombies Mode will feature the original crew return as multiverse variations. This mode will also include a Tranzit remake, and will be a round-based affair featuring a difficulty toggle and more focus on narrative.

In regards to multiplayer, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will feature a 32vs32 player mode, and includes remakes of popular maps based on a Japanese-style theme. Apparently, the goal is to have a progression level system included, featuring grenades, kill streaks and perks, and progression is reportedly set to carry over from Black ops 6.

Activision has yet to officially reveal this year’s Call of Duty game, but it will presumably see a release in the usual Fall window as with previous instalments. It has also been suggested that Call of Duty 2025 may not be exclusive to current-generation systems.
