Bloody Roar PS4 – Is It Happening?

Bloody Roar PS4. Is Bloody Roar PS4 happening? The classic claret-drenched brawler has been out of the limelight for over 15 years now, although those who grew up in the PSOne era will probably have found memories of the fighting game series following its debut in 1997. Fans are eager to know if Bloody Roar PS4 is happening, but will it ever materialise?

Bloody Roar PS4 Release – Is It Happening?

Sadly Bloody Roar PS4 hasn’t got much hope of happening at this point. Back in 2011, Hudson Soft seemingly confirmed that Bloody Roar 5 was in works, although sadly this turned out to be a hoax. Earlier this year, Konami trademarked Bloody Roar, which was assumed by many to pertain to yet another Pachinko machine endeavour. No further details were revealed, however, and it seems unlikely that a new Bloody Roar game will drop at this point.

Looks like you’ll have to make do with the classic titles at this point.

What Is Bloody Roar?

Bloody Roar is pretty unique in the fighting game landscape, as it puts emphasis on half-human, half-animal creatures to dish out punishment in a battle. The original title for the series was Beastorizer, although it adopted the Bloody Roar moniker following its PSOne debut.

The beast-like fighters in the game are known as Zoanthropes, and find themselves mixed up with the nefarious Tylon Corporation, who wish to utilise these beastly brawlers as mind-controlled weapons. During a fight, players have a access to a set amount of energy that is used to enter Beast Mode, allowing you to transform once the ‘B’ indicator appears.

Four main games were released in the Bloody Roar series: Bloody Roar (1997), Bloody Roar 2 (1999), Bloody Roar 3 (2001) and Bloody Roar 4 (2003).
