Eidos Hungary, the developer behind the Xbox 360/PC series Battlestations, has expressed interest in working on Sony’s PlayStation 3 console, though wouldn’t commit to any specific details.
Speaking to videogamer.com, Senior Developer Atilla Soross discussed the possibility of bringing the popular World War II military franchise to the PS3, commenting, “We are certainly interested in PS3 as major current-gen platform, but at this point I cannot reveal more about our plans with the brand.”
Soross also hinted at a possible change to future instalments, shifting from a WWII era to more modern setting, adding, "… the team has several ideas about the settings of future Battlestations games and the modern era is one of them. However, currently we are focusing on realizing the potential in Battlestations Pacific."
