Battlefield 2042 Won’t Support Mouse & Keyboard For Consoles At Launch, Anti-Cheat Measures Detailed

Ripple Effect Studio has confirmed that mouse and keyboard support will not be featured in the console versions of Battlefield 2042 at launch.

The studio confirmed that any changes to this functionality will be revealed by the studio before they are implemented, although there’s no indication yet on when mouse and keyboard will find their way to PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game.

Pleasingly, the developer has revealed that it won’t be lenient when it come to cheaters in Battlefield 2042, with players able to report rule breakers easier than previous entires in the series.

In Battlefield 2042 our first approach to ensuring Fair Play is that we’ll use Easy-Anti Cheat (EAC) as our anti-cheat tool of choice. EAC already has a proven track record in identifying cheaters, such as within Apex Legends and Star Wars: Squadrons. It is also proven to be effective in ensuring your privacy, and security.

Battlefield 2042 is pencilled in for a November 19, 2021 release on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game’s Open Beta will kick off on October 8, although Early Access players will be able to get in on the action on October 6.
