Battlefield 2042 update 3.3 rolled out last week, and it seems that developer Ripple Effect Studios has stealth-implemented full XP and progression in Battlefield Portal if you disable bots.
You can see the findings for yourself in the tweets below. Note that this hasn’t been officially announced by EA or Ripple Effect Studios, but that didn’t stop people from uncovering the feature. This means that you will be able to obtain mastery levels on all weapons.

Battlefield 2042 was released for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in November 2021. However, EA admitted that the game’s launch underperformed expectations within the company, while the game’s first major Season has been delayed until Summer 2022.
The publisher also partly blamed the release of Halo Infinite for Battlefield 2042’s poor performance, which was perceived as as more robust first-person shooter among consumers.
Looking ahead, Ripple Effect Studios will be making some significant changes to some of the larger maps within Battlefield 2042, based largely on user feedback.
