While we reported on an alleged new Batman: Arkham game earlier this year, that doesn’t seem to be happening — or any other Batman: Arkham game — anytime soon according to legendary Batman voice actor, Kevin Conroy.
At the Wizard Comic Con in Nashvile, Conroy was asked on stage about the future of the Batman: Arkham games and he had some interesting stuff to say about it. You can watch the video below to hear Conroy talk about it.
You know, I can’t believe that they’re not gonna do another one, but they’re not. Isn’t that amazing? They made literally billions of dollars on those games, but uh no, there’s no plan to do another one. Sorry.
While there is a chance that Rocksteady could use another actor to voice Batman in an unannounced Batman: Arkham game, that seems very unlikely — especially since Rocksteady has repeatedly said that Batman: Arkham Knight would be their last Batman: Arkham game. That said, there is a chance that WB Games Montreal is working on a new entry, and either Conroy is outright lying, or he’s not in the know.
Would you want another Batman: Arkham game? Or should Rocksteady and Warner Bros. give the franchise a rest and start a new gaming franchise?
