A report published by the Irish Independent has revealed that Baldur’s Gate III has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide since its release in August 2023.
According to the publication, developer Larian Studios posted a pre-tax profit of €249 last year, which equates to about $260 million. As mentioned above, the report states that 15 million copies of the game have been sold, although Larian Studios hasn’t actually confirmed this figure yet.

Larian Studios recently revealed that Baldur’s Gate III sold two copies in Vatican City, and recently put in place a limit on the number of active mods on console versions of the game. Like many games, Baldur’s Gate III has been fully enhanced for PS5 Pro, which offers a boost to Quality and Performance mode.
Despite the huge success of Baldur’s Gate III, Larian Studios has confirmed that not only is it not working on a follow-up for the game, but its next project won’t be related to the Dungeons and Dragons IP at all.
