Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Is Getting A 4K/60FPS Mode On PS5 And PS5 Pro

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the very last game in the franchise to release before Ubisoft turned the series into bigger more RPG-style games is getting a little bit of love, and will have a 60 FPS mode available on PS5 and PS5 Pro starting tomorrow.

It’s definitely exciting news for fans of Syndicate, but the surprise was already spoiled when a tweet from one of Ubisoft’s international accounts hit the wire early, and the news of the update was out.

Syndicate originally released on PS4 and Xbox One all the way back in 2015, and stars two sibling protagonists that players would swap between for different missions.

While not exactly the most memorable entry in the series, the two lead characters were a strong pairing that stayed in the minds and hearts of players who love the franchise.

For those players, it’s good to see that they’ll now be able to revisit Ubisoft’s version of old London town at the smooth frame rates and resolutions modern consoles are more than capable of achieving.

Whether you’re playing Syndicate on PS5 or PS5 Pro, after tomorrow you’ll be able to run the game at 4K/60FPS. It’ll be interesting to see what other games from Ubisoft’s back catalog get this treatment, and which titles are just being fully remade instead.

After CEO Yves Guillemot let the news of remakes slip, the original game is the one that you’d assume Ubisoft would start with – but it could potentially be a Silent Hill 2 case, where the sequel, Assassin’s Creed II, is the first to get remade.

Regardless it’ll likely be a while before we find out, and realistically it also depends on what Ubisoft looks like in the future, since the potential of new leadership could see a new release calendar put into place.
