The first major canonical expansion for Ark: Survival Ascended has been announced by Snail and Studio Wildcard this week, with Ark: Lost Colony scheduled for release in November 2025 priced at $29.99.
According to the press release, Ark: Lost Colony will include “numerous cinema-grade” anime narrative sequences produced by MAPPA, the Japanese studio responsible for the likes of Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man and more. In addition, Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh will reprise role as Mei Yin from the Ark: The Animated Series.

Ark: The Lost Colony sees players confronting the demons of Arat Prime, which is the birth place of the Arks, where you’ll follow Mei Yin’s footsteps through an intense journey into the heart of darkness. Along the way, you’ll unlock powerful ‘Lost’ character ability trees, befriend exotic tames, craft ‘Cursed’ tiers of gear, and master advanced building system.
Studio Wildcard will release Ark: Lost Colony in November 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
