Anno 1800 will be coming to PS5 on March 16, 2023, as Ubisoft announces the Anno 1800: Console Edition.
The news came with a reveal trailer, and a gameplay trailer, that both showcase the new console edition looking stunning on PS5. The popular historical city-sim builder will be arriving with all its cosmetic DLC to date, and even come with pre-order packs.

“For the first time in Anno’s 25-year history, a core Anno game is launching on consoles, marking this not only an exciting step for us as a team, but for the Anno brand as a whole!” announced Ubisoft on Tuesday.
“Anno 1800 Console Edition includes the full Anno 1800 base game experience with all major game updates released so far, with multiple improvements to make the game as enjoyable on consoles as it is on PC.
We will go into more detail on that in the next paragraph and future articles in the week until release. Talking about the release: Anno 1800 Console Edition will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 16th this year!”
The article then goes into further detail as to what changes have been made to make Anno 1800 as it says, “as enjoyable on consoles as it is on PC.”
These changes include redesigned UI, which you can see in the trailer. Other parts of the screen have been moved, changed, an option to build roads automatically around building blocks has been added.
All these changes and more listed are “just to name a few.”
Closer to March, it’ll be interesting to see how Anno 1800 takes advantage of the PS5’s features, as any technical details are absent from this first post.
