Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming TV series based on SEGA’s long-running Yakuza franchise titled Like A Dragon: Yakuza is due to arrive next month, and ahead of that launch we just got a new action-packed trailer.
The new trailer gives fans a taste of what to expect with this new series, which looks to take more from the serious side of the series than the comedic side.
That said, the trailer does show some moments that do seem to have a bit of the zaniness fans of the Yakuza series have come to expect.

Even without the comedic and whack-y side of the Yakuza series, sticking with a more serious tone still gives the show’s creators plenty of material within the series to play with.
One of the series biggest strengths has always been its ability to go between comedic and dramatic storytelling, but much of the comedy came from aspects that only a game could recreate.
It’ll be interesting then to see how the show ends up walking this line, and how comedic things get, if at all.
