World Of Warcraft Coming To Console Could Finally Be A Reality, As Blizzard Executive Producer Says “Nothing’s Impossible”

World Of Warcraft is the kind of gaming giant that has worked its way beyond the cultural bubble of people who’d likely consider themselves gamers, and is something that even your parent would recognize immediately by name, even if they’ve never played a second of it.

It’s one of the behemoth franchises in Blizzard’s utility belt of service games that keep the publisher’s pants on, and since the beginning of its lifetime, it’s only been available to play on PC.

That might not be the case forever though, if the words of Holly Longdale, executive producer at Blizzard on World Of Warcraft, can be believed.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Longdale was questioned about the possibility of WoW making the leap over to consoles. After beginning with “I mean,” and following with what Eurogamer says was “a pause,” Longdale settled on “I will say nothing’s impossible.”

She continued to say “I can’t say anything more than that,” while laughing, and stopped herself from saying anything more, ending on “No, that’s all I’ll say.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Longdale has sparked conversation and hope around World Of Warcraft coming to consoles, as last year she admitted that World Of Warcraft being on consoles was something the team discusses “all the time.”

It should be noted though that Longdale’s words last year came less than a month after Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, so it could very well be the case that Blizzard’s new parent company is putting a renewed effort to bring the franchise to consoles.

Whether that’ll include a release on PlayStation however, is another story.
