Metaphor: ReFantazio will arrive on PS5 and PS4 this coming October 11, 2024, developer Studio Zero and publisher Atlus announced on Monday.
The first brand new IP from the team behind the Persona franchise, Metaphor: ReFantazio is the RPG that big RPG fans and Persona fans of course are anticipating more than any other.
Atlus revealed the release date along with a brand new trailer, which further establishes just how clearly it is that this game is coming from the same people behind Persona, as both titles already seem to share a lot of similarities, including visual style.
This trailer is also the most action-packed one we’ve seen so far, with a clearer focus on the game’s combat, which seems to be the biggest deviation from Persona because it’s not turn-based.

With the announcement of the release date, Atlus also opened up pre-orders for players to be ready to jump right into Metaphor: ReFantazio the minute it launches – though, only for physical copies purchased straight from Atlus’ own website.
Digital pre-orders will be revealed “at a later time,” says Atlus.
