DC’s Rebooted Universe Looks To Use Same Actors For Video Games, Films & TV

The DC Universe has revealed plans to feature the same actors in a connected universe spanning video games, film and TV, James Gunn, the DC Studios co-chairman has revealed.

The news comes following the announcement of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, which will feature brand new series of projects to kick-start a new era for DC. For example, there’s a new Superman and Batman film in the works, while Robert Pattinson’s The Batman is also getting a sequel.

The latter is possible thanks to the DC Elseworlds, which is an alternate universe that houses projects including Joker and its upcoming sequel.

The DCU is connected in film, television, gaming, and animation. Characters are consistent, played by the same actors, and it works in one story.

Right now we don’t actually have any games announced as part of the new DC Universe, and the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League wasn’t mentioned either, so it could fall into the DLC Elseworlds.
