Watch Dogs 2 will have a ‘new tone,’ teases Ubisoft

Ubisoft head honcho Yves Guillemot has teased that the upcoming Watch Dogs 2 will feature a ‘new tone.’

Speaking during the publishing giant’s latest earnings call (via IGN), Guillemot didn’t elaborate any further on what this will mean for the open-world action-adventure sequel, but did add the title will feature “innovative gameplay.

Ubisoft announced Watch Dogs 2 earlier this year, confirming just the other day that it will be released before April 2017. A leaked image suggests that the company is looking to introduce a new protagonist for the sequel.

The French industry giant had teased the game prior to giving it a formal reveal, suggesting it would take more risks with the game. Reports have indicated the game will be set in San Francisco.
