We love the direction that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has gone with this third instalment, particularly the brief gameplay footage from the E3 press conference that we saw on board a ship.
Though we can still expect to be sneaking around and free-running across New England, the environment is so different this time, and the game’s protagonist has so many more moves in his arsenal, that gameplay should also feel quite different.
In the trailer below, we see Connor taking on the masses of the British army. This not only showcases the high quality production values that have become synonymous with the series, but also indicates Ubisoft’s intent to make the most brutal Assassin’s Creed game yet.
Assassin’s Creed III is due for launch in October 2012.
