Fans of SEGA’s Shenmue have taken to twitter to campaign directly to Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment, for the release of a new game in the popular open-world series.
It’s certainly an eye-catching way of grabbing his attention with fans taking photos and brandishing single letters that when placed together spell out the words “Please #SaveShenmue.

Yoshida has also responded to the plea by with some brief, yet encouraging words…

In December, SEGA sent out a tweet with an image suggesting that Shenmue 3 could be in the works. The picture (shown below) showed protagonist Ryo Hazuki riding a vehicle with the words ‘Shen 3’ visible on the license plate.
