Microsoft’s global director of marketing Craig Davidson has bullishly claimed that it will ‘kill Sony at E3,’ and that its Xbox One console will turn heads at the Los Angeles-based event.
Speaking to IGN Spain (translated via Google), Davidson commented, “Xbox One will surprise the world during E3,” before adding, “We will kill Sony at E3.”
Sony and Microsoft will be out in full force at L.A. early next month, where it is confirmed PlayStation 4’s hardware will be showcased for the first time. Meanwhile, Microsoft is also promising to reveal a slew of exclusives for its next-generation home console.
Xbox One was unveiled last week and caused quite a lot of stir among gamers for its focus on multi-media heavy functionality, with little in the way of actual games shown. Naturally, Microsoft hopes to quell any concerns at E3.
Sony, meanwhile, has already demonstrated a capable line-up of software during its February PS4 reveal, though now it’ll be going head-to-head with its leading rival on the gaming world’s biggest stage – and hopefully sway you off the fence into clicking that pre-order button in time for this holiday season.
PSU.com will be out in full force at E3 early next month, so stay tuned.
